The negotiation table

NFT trading involved assets with financial value, but I wanted the experience to feel approachable and enjoyable for a consumer audience. I designed the core feature as a negotiation table, using a playing-card-style interaction for exchanging NFTs and other assets.

People could assemble a trade and add money to sweeten the deal. This gave the exchange a familiar, playful interaction model while accommodating offers with different combinations of assets and cash.

This was a core design decision I personally owned. The product's overall usage and retention figures below describe the broader marketplace, rather than a measured effect of this feature alone.

Scope and collaboration

Ownership through the team’s growth

I created the initial mobile experience before designers joined. As the team grew, I worked with three designers and four engineers on refinement and delivery. The product reached 6,000 weekly active users and 57% day-one retention; those are product-level results, not attribution to one screen.
