Designing an AI video product from prompt to publish.
Owned foundational user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models across AI video creation, editing, asset management, onboarding, and monetization. Later directed and collaborated with a visual designer on production refinement.

From free credits to a first experience built around the brand
The original onboarding distributed credits and left users to create videos, hoping they would discover enough value to convert. I redesigned the experience around brand ingestion and a conversation about what the user needed.
The design had to communicate that the product understood the brand, then show what success could look like through examples relevant to the user's niche. It moved the first experience from an open-ended trial toward a concrete reason to use the product.
The redesigned onboarding converted better. I have not isolated a percentage here from the broader acquisition and growth results.
Automation without losing editing control
An agent could create a video on the user's behalf, but creators still needed fine-grained control over the details. I designed across both modes: an assisted creation flow and granular editing tools for the moments when an automated result needed a specific change.
The interaction challenge was to make the automated path useful while keeping detailed edits accessible within the same product workflow.
Scope and collaboration
- Designed prompt and brand-brief flows through scene planning, shot generation, editing, asset reuse, and publishing
- Defined interaction states, hierarchy, and edge cases in Figma prototypes
- Used Amplitude funnel analysis and qualitative feedback to iterate on onboarding
- Worked directly with engineering to translate prototypes into shipped product
- Alongside design, brought paid acquisition in-house: signup rate reached 38.8% for paid traffic versus 18.7% organic
From product intent to a buildable experience
My scope connected prompt and brand intent to scene planning, generation, editing, asset reuse and publishing. I defined hierarchy, states and edge cases in Figma, worked directly with engineering and later directed and collaborated with a visual designer. Acquisition outcomes reflect broader product and growth work, not an isolated UI experiment.
